BJD Slams BJP Government Over Deteriorating Law and Order, Development in Odisha

BJD slams ruling party, law and order situation worsens, development hampers Bhubaneswar, 31/12 (Bureau): Odisha The law and order situation in the state has deteriorated in the last 18 months under the BJP rule. In the last 18 months, 40,947 cases of violence against women, mineral resources and revenue have increased. If the law and order situation does not improve, the development of the state is hampered. The revenue from major minerals has come down from Rs 50,000 crore to Rs 34,000 crore. Minor mineral resource revenue has also decreased from Rs 1485 crore to Rs 600 crore. On the other hand, 20 exams have been cancelled in the last 18 months. Dr. Mohanty said, this year has been the year of gang rape. Starting from Bali Harchandi in Gopalpur and Puri to the rape and murder of minor girls in Dhauli and Rourkela, Odisha has been targeted and condemned. America has declared Odisha's tourist destination Ligu Dee unsafe for women. It has banned American citizens from coming to Odisha. Odisha was condemned all over the world.
