The extensive lifeguards on duty at the beach have rescued more than seven tourists in various minor incidents on Wednesday. Ashutosh Mohapatra, who came from Dhenkanal, said, 'It is a good move to make the beach a no-vehicle zone. Since there is no traffic congestion, tourists can enjoy the sandy beaches and the beach path. It is a blessing to watch the end of the year sunset with your family and spend the farewell Rajni in Puri.' Zero Night celebrations were held in various hotels and open spaces in Puri city. Various stage programs were performed by Hollywood and Bollywood singers. Most of the organizers brought in Russian dancers to attract customers. Polo dance and fire dance were also performed. On the other hand, special traffic restrictions have been imposed in Puri for two days on December 31 and New Year. A no-vehicle zone has been created from Subhash Bose Chowk to Lighthouse. The administration has appointed 20 auto drivers on this road. The police have ordered that the auto drivers will charge Rs 20 per person. Along with this, the police have issued an auto rental schedule for various important places on Wednesday. To regulate vehicular movement, a vehicular zone was established from Medical Chowk to Shrimandir, from Mochisahi Chowk to Shrimandir, from Solakhu Bargachh to Shrimandir, and from Brishab Chowk on Loknath Road to Shrimandir.
